Noiselab has teamed up with Los Angeles-based songwriter and producer Patrick Collier to get an inside look at a song he wrote and produced called "Naked Truth." In this set of lessons, you'll get to see how the song was crafted from the bare bones demo ideas, starting with some chords on guitar, to a full-fledged production in Ableton Live. You'll pick up nuances and production techniques as Patrick walks you through the various parts of the instrumentation and arrangement, and you'll get a sense of how the layers come together to form a cohesive, punchy mix. If you pay close attention to his workflow, effects processing, and songwriting/arrangement techniques, you'll take away many key lessons that you can immediately apply in your own creative process.
