Ableton Live is a useful application not only for multitrack recording and production, but also for live performance. In this course we'll dive deep into the Session View while optimizing preference settings for live performance and personalizing your configuration. You'll become familiar with the crossfader, MIDI mapping, incorporating effects, send effects, clip properties, launch properties, clip envelopes, advanced MIDI mapping, finger drumming, live looping, saving templates, and much more.
Learn the best way to handle audio stems, including importing in bulk, editing stems seamlessly between arrangement and session view, and understanding the significance of warping.
If your main goal is to be able to play drums live with a pad-based controller, you'll learn a couple different approaches. We'll also cover how to incorporate effects into your live set, and the most common effects used by today's DJs.
After completing this course you'll be ready to perform with confidence with Ableton Live, whether you're putting together a DJ set, or hoping to write / produce tracks in a more interactive and "live" fashion.
